The school management should equip school basements with an emergency exit, ventilation, a toilet, provide the appropriate number of seats, water and food supplies.

The message noted that schools and kindergartens in Kyiv will be actively inspected for readiness for the new school year. The presence of an equipped basement or shelter is the most important point.
If it is a basement, the school and local management must equip it with an emergency exit, ventilation, a toilet, provide the appropriate number of seats, water, and food supplies by September. Unfortunately, not all schools and kindergartens have basements and shelters. Therefore, the decision to open will made by both sides: the school management and the parents“ – the post noted.
