On the territory of the Hostiny Dvir complex on Kontraktova Square, priority emergency protection work has begun, the first deputy director general of the “St. Sofiia of Kyiv” Vadym Kyrylenko said.
Emergency works have been going on since last year, but they were stopped due to the beginning of the war.
Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko promised to start the restoration of Hostinnyi dvir at the end of spring.
Recently, the capital’s urban planners presented their own concept of the renewed of Hostinnyi Dvir.
The Ministry of Culture, on whose balance is Hostinnyi Dvir currently resides, promised to present its concept for the development of Hostinnyi Dvir. The head of the department, Oleksandr Tkachenko, reported that his discussions were already ongoing, but the project has never been presented to the public.
Hostinny Dvir should become a “multifunctional space” – Tkachenko said.
