On Wednesday, October 11, the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, approved the transfer of another military aid package to Ukraine. This marks the 19th shipment of Finnish defense assistance to Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense of Finland reported that the value of this package is 95 million euros.
The statement mentioned that Ukraine is currently in a war whose outcome will determine the security situation in Europe and Finland in the future. Finland remains resolute in its support for Ukraine, along with its allies. The total value of military equipment packages Finland has supplied to Ukraine currently stands at 1.4 billion euros, according to Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hakkänen.
For security reasons, the delivery terms and contents of the package are not disclosed at the moment.
It’s worth noting that Finland will contribute 92 million euros to the IDA Crisis Fund, a program aimed at increasing support for Ukraine, Moldova, and other countries affected by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
