Since the beginning of spring, the Ukrainian air defense forces have been successfully intercepting drones and missiles launched by Russia towards the capital with a 100% effectiveness rate.
This was stated by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“The guardians of the Kyiv sky have been working flawlessly for over two months – no missile or drone has reached its target”, stated the Ministry.
The effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense is approaching 90%, and Kyiv’s air defense is at 100%, according to The Washington Post.
Thanks to the arrival of new Western-made air defense systems in October and November, as well as the increasing qualifications of Ukrainian soldiers, Ukraine has reported intercepting nearly 80% of Russian cruise missiles as of December 2022.
