Since the beginning of the counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 169 square kilometers in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, and in the Bakhmut direction, defense forces have reclaimed 24 square kilometers.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
“Since the beginning of the counteroffensive, the forces have liberated 169 square kilometers in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, and in the Bakhmut direction, defense forces have reclaimed 24 square kilometers. Since the beginning of the offensive in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, the Ukrainian defense forces have liberated 169 square kilometers of Ukrainian land from Russian invaders, which is approximately equivalent to the area of the city of Odesa! Demining operations are currently underway in these territories.Last week, Ukrainian soldiers liberated 4 square kilometers of native land from Russian invaders in the Bakhmut direction. In total, the liberated area in the Bakhmut direction amounts to 24 square kilometers of Ukrainian land”, the statement says.
Furthermore, during the past week, as a result of offensive actions in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced over one kilometer, totaling 8.6 kilometers since the beginning of the offensive in these directions. Over 10 square kilometers of Ukrainian land have been liberated in southern Ukraine over the past week.
