The German government has announced the provision of a new batch of military assistance to Ukraine, totaling 5.4 billion euros.
This was reported on the website of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The assistance includes:
- Four tracked all-terrain vehicles Bandvagn 206, which can be used for transporting troops and equipment in hard-to-reach areas.
- Bridge layer Biber with spare parts, which can be used for laying crossings over rivers and other obstacles.
- Three armored engineering vehicles Wisent 1 on a tank chassis, designed for various tasks such as demining, construction of fortifications, and vehicle repair.
- 24 armored personnel carriers that can be used for transporting troops and equipment.
- Missiles for the IRIS-T air defense system, designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
- Over a thousand 155mm caliber artillery shells designed for use in self-propelled artillery installations.
- A sea mine clearance system designed to clear the waters of mines.
- Satcom video surveillance system that allows remote monitoring of the situation.
- Four vehicles for border service.
- 194,000 individual rations.
This batch of military aid continues the support for Ukraine provided by Germany since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Germany is one of the European leaders in providing military assistance to Ukraine. Previously, Germany supplied Ukrainian forces with Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks of various modifications, IRIS-T and Patriot air defense systems, MARS II MLRS, Marder IFVs, Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems, a large amount of armored and automotive equipment, and much more.
