The German Ministries of Internal Affairs and Foreign Affairs have agreed to provide Ukraine with a winter package of humanitarian aid totaling 6.1 million euros.

The package is intended to support internally displaced persons, as well as residents and communities in the frontline areas. With the support of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), the German government provided Ukraine with over 500 electric generators, with a total value of approximately 3.5 million euros.

“In addition, 900 heaters, 1700 winter sleeping bags, as well as folding beds, tents, residential containers, winter clothing, a mobile field kitchen, and drinking water purification systems will be delivered”, added the ministry.

It’s worth noting that on Thursday, December 14, the Swedish Government approved the transfer of a winter aid package to Ukraine totaling 124 million euros. The funds are intended for civilian infrastructure.
