In Bakhmut, Ukrainian military captured an occupant with the help of a drone. The enemy noticed the UAV and started gesturing to indicate a desire to surrender.
The video was released by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
“This case proves that drones play a very important role in today’s war. Reconnaissance, artillery correction, destruction of vehicles, and even capturing prisoners”, said the Deputy Prime Minister.
He noted that the drone operators of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after I. Bohun’s Drone Strike Unit “Achilles” sent a message to the Russian through the drone, telling him to follow the drone if he wishes to surrender.
Infantry and scouts escorted him to the Ukrainian positions.
Fedorov thanked everyone who supports the Army of Drones through the UNITED24 platform.
“We continue to strengthen the Ukrainian military and the drone strike units”, he concluded.
As a reminder, the Deputy Prime Minister previously reported that 10,000 UAV operators have already been trained as part of the “Army of Drones” project. Fedorov said that the United24 fundraising platform has raised $325 million in one year.
