On the morning of March 15, two rescuers—a paramedic and an emergency services worker—were killed as a result of a Russian missile strike while providing assistance at the site of the initial explosion.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper.

“As a result of the Russian missile attack on Odesa, there are casualties. All relevant services are working at the scene. The data is being clarified”, the statement said.

Overall, it is known that the death toll is 14 people, including local residents, a medic, and a rescuer. Another 46 people, including seven emergency services workers, were injured, according to the head of the regional administration, Kiper.

The Odesa City Council noted that children who were in schools and kindergartens are currently safe.

An air raid alert was declared in the region at 11:01. A powerful explosion occurred in Odesa at 11:04, and then the Air Force reported a missile heading towards the city. Following this, another explosion was heard in the city.
