During the autumn and winter, Russia is preparing to attack cities and infrastructure in Ukraine using various types of weaponry.

This statement was made by the spokesperson of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, during a telethon broadcast.

“We already have experience during the autumn-winter period when the enemy used a significant number of strike drones and missiles. These include ‘Kalibr’ and Kh-101, Kh-555 missiles”, he said.

According to him, from September to March, Ukrainian air defense forces have successfully shot down approximately 750 drones and 750 missiles. The spokesperson emphasized that this required a considerable amount of resources.

Ignat mentioned that currently, the Russians do not possess such a large number of missiles. They are manufacturing them, but they cannot replenish the entire stock they have used.

Nevertheless, he emphasized the need for preparedness. As the same Kh-101 or Kh-555 missiles used in yesterday’s attack were not utilized for a month, it’s likely they spent a month manufacturing them.

According to the General Staff’s data, they produce about 100 long-range, precision missiles per month. Around half, approximately 60, are aircraft-launched. Thus, one can estimate how many they can produce and use.

In Ignat’s opinion, Russia will place a greater emphasis on kamikaze drones, which are cheaper and easier to manufacture.
