The Ukrainian demining machine has received certification. Now the company will launch it into mass production.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“The development of Kharkiv manufacturers – a machine for preparing the ground for demining – has successfully passed the appropriate certification. The manufacturing company has already received a certificate of conformity and a declaration of conformity, which allows for its production and use for demining territories”, the statement said.
The Ministry of Economy noted that the domestic invention has several advantages, including ease of use, the possibility of repair and maintenance in Ukraine, and robotization, as the operator controls the machine from a safe distance. Currently, the manufacturers can produce two such machines per month.
The equipment neutralizes anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, as well as tripwires. It will be used by specialists from the State Emergency Service, the State Special Transport Service, and private operators involved in demining. Currently, there are 20 demining machines and 3,000 specialists working in Ukraine. It is worth mentioning that Croatia has allocated 1 million euros to the UN program for humanitarian demining in Ukraine.
