Priority demining of agricultural lands has been completed in the Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk and controlled part of the Zaporizhzhia region in Ukraine

This is stated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

“Over the week, the units of the State Emergency Service, Armed Forces, State Special Transport Service, and non-governmental operators examined more than 12 thousand hectares of agricultural lands designated for priority demining. A total of 2,323 hectares of agricultural land have been demined”, the statement said.

It only concerns the lands located in the controlled territories. In regions where fighting is ongoing (for example, the Zaporizhzhia region), the list of lands for priority demining includes those located no closer than 20 kilometers from the line of active combat and not subject to constant shelling.

“In total, in 9 regions of Ukraine, priority examination and demining if necessary of 470 thousand hectares of agricultural lands is planned if necessary”, informs the Ministry of Economy.
