Ukrainian energy professionals have brought all 19 out of 19 thermal power plant units back into operation after scheduled maintenance.

This information was provided by the DTEK company.

“100% readiness for winter. We’ve achieved it”, the statement reads.

It is noted that experts have completed 19 out of 19 planned maintenance projects for the power plant units as part of their preparations for the heating season.

“We are proud of our colleagues. It’s impossible to put into words how hard they had to work to complete the scheduled maintenance on time after the most challenging winter in the history of 22/23”, added the DTEK company.

Meanwhile, “Ukrenergo” emphasized that the electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of all residential and commercial consumers and stressed that there are no grounds for energy system restrictions, provided there are no new attacks.

Consumption limits have not been introduced. Electricity imports in October are carried out from Slovakia and Moldova. The total volume is 458 MW-hours, with a maximum capacity of up to 281 MW during certain hours. Exports are conducted to Slovakia and Moldova with a total volume of 324 MW, reaching a maximum capacity of 385 MW during specific hours.

Previously, DTEK warned of a more challenging winter compared to the previous year. The company invested a record 20 billion UAH in preparations for the 23/24 heating season but noted that facing this winter would be tougher than the last.
