This was reported by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan, Sergiy Korsunsky.
Korsunsky mentioned that the first two vehicles are already on their way to Ukraine, while the rest will be transferred after inspection and necessary preparation.
“For the first time in post-war Japanese history, the Self-Defense Forces are providing military equipment to a country at war”, he said.
It was also reported that the Government of Japan has decided to accept Ukrainian wounded soldiers for treatment and rehabilitation.
Furthermore, on Monday, May 22, Japan imposed additional sanctions against Russia. The country’s companies are now prohibited from providing services to Russia in the construction and engineering sectors.
