Klitschko promised that there would be no streets in Kyiv with names associated with Russia

He reminded that the relevant decision will be adopted by the Kyiv City Council.

The mayor said this in an interview with Kyiv TV channel.

At the same time, the mayor did not specify when the Kyiv City Council will make a decision on renaming almost 300 streets on which voting has already taken place. It was previously reported that this could happen to Independence Day.

“The Kyiv City Council session makes a decision. I want to remind you that it is not the mayor who changes the name. We have a committee. Now there are a lot of different proposals for renaming, and so as not to make mistakes and not return to the previous names. There was a commission meeting, we renamed some of the streets, we receive offers, the number is quite large. I can assure you that there will be no streets associated with the aggressor in our city!” Vitaliy Klitschko said.
