The photo exhibition is dedicated to the tragic history of the heroic city of Mariupol and its residents.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Council.
It was noted in the message that Kyiv residents and guests of the city are invited to visit the photo exhibition “Mariupol: Art vs. War”, which is being held in the Desnyansky district.
“Five thematic expositions of Mariupol photographers and witnesses of recent events introduce the peaceful life of the city before it was totally destroyed by the Russian occupiers, and the testimonies of Russian war crimes. When we were offered to organize the exhibition “Mariupol: Art vs War” in Trojeshchyna, we agreed, because the tragedy of Mariupol is a terrible testimony of the genocide of the Ukrainian people, which future generations should know about, so that they remember how we fought for our right to live in a free and independent country. We believe in our army, and in the fact that the Ukrainian flag will fly over Mariupol soon,” the Kyiv City Council noted.
And they added that in today’s world it is difficult to understand what life is like without food, water, light, communication, and even under round-the-clock shelling, from which it is impossible to hide. This bloody story is forever etched in memory.
The exhibition can be visited during the month from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the “BiblioHub” in the Desnyansky district (28 Balzaka St.).
