They plan to equip units that have suffered losses at the military front with cars.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko handed over 35 minibuses to the State Border Service of Ukraine. This is reported by the Kyiv City State Administration website.
“The war with which Russia invaded Ukraine has been going on for 5 months. Ukrainians are heroically fighting for their independence and will, for their statehood. The capital authorities are helping the Ukrainian defenders as much as they can. We donate food, hygiene products, cars, the most necessary equipment, in particular, body armor. Today we are handing over to the State Border Service of Ukraine 35 Volkswagen T5 minibuses, which we attracted and received from our partners. These multifunctional vehicles will be used for patrolling the state border. And they will strengthen the technical equipment of the border guards, will allow them to perform the tasks of protecting the state border more effectively,” Klitschko said.
They plan to equip units that have suffered losses while defending Ukraine from the aggression of Russian invaders with vehicles.
These minibuses will be used for logistical support, delivery of military equipment to places of service by border guards. And – to create on their basis thermal imaging systems and special hardware communications.
Klitschko noted that these cars are not the first aid from the city to the State Border Service of Ukraine. Before that, the border guards had already received body armor, dry rations, and other things. In June-July, the capital handed over 1,700 body armor for the needs of the State Border Service.
