Lithuanian Foreign Minister Landsbergis believes that collaboration in this direction is crucial in preparing for potential military threats.
He stated this in a recent announcement.
Minister Landsbergis emphasized the importance of such collaboration for preparing against possible military threats. He highlighted that “the way of war is changing, so Lithuania should learn from Ukrainians who have been fighting against Russian aggression for almost two years”.
According to the minister, “a few years before the start of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, Ukraine practically had no idea that in the war, they would need lethal drones and devices that would become a daily norm in combat conditions”.
Lithuania is ready to provide assistance to Ukraine in drone production. “We can also talk about joint production. It seems that Ukrainians are interested in the possible transfer of some production to Lithuania. With our assistance, and possibly partly for ourselves, if we could provide them with the necessary drones”, Landsbergis said.
He also added that “we need to learn from Ukrainians now, especially since they are willing to open their books about the war to friends. Such an opportunity is exceptional. We have paid the highest price for the lessons we can learn”.
