The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) near the Antonivsky Bridge are engaged in counter-battery combat, attempting to dislodge the enemy from their positions.
Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center for the Defense Forces of the Southern Operational Command, revealed this information in an interview on the “Kyiv” TV channel.
“We continue the counter-battery fight near the Antonivsky Bridge. It involves long-range weapons and artillery. We are trying to drive the enemy out of the positions from which they are shelling the right bank. They have intensified information about the movement of Ukrainian troops to the left bank with the help of war correspondents. They have significantly increased shelling of the Kherson region. The regional center was shelled this morning, resulting in the death of two elderly people. This indicates that the enemy, fearing the advance of the Defense Forces, is targeting the civilian population. The information silence regime allows us to save the lives of civilians and those who are performing combat tasks”, she reported.
As it is known, Russian “military correspondents” report that the units of the UAF managed to establish themselves on the left bank of the Dnipro River near the Antonivsky Bridge. The Russians are attempting to dislodge the defense forces from there but without success. Ukrainian officials neither confirm nor deny this.
