During negotiations in Warsaw, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Poland Andrzej Duda agreed on providing Ukraine with a new powerful defense package.
Zelensky announced this at a press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.
“We discussed the strengthening of our army. This is very important. Today we discussed and adopted a decision on a powerful defense package that will strengthen our people,” the statement said.
“Today we are in Warsaw, but our people are in the trenches of Bachmut, Maryinka, Avdiivka – true warriors, men, women, absolutely strong people, whom we unfortunately lose every day because of Russia,” he added.
The head of state thanked the Polish side for the decision to provide additional military aid, which, according to him, will strengthen Ukrainian soldiers and help protect their lives.
“Because they risk their lives for Ukrainians, but also for the future life of your children, the children of Europe,” Zelensky said.
It should be noted that this is the third foreign visit by the President of Ukraine since Russia started the full-scale invasion. On December 22 of last year, Volodymyr Zelensky visited the United States, where he met with President Joe Biden and spoke in Congress.
