With the capabilities and resources of the Air Defense Forces, in coordination with other components of Ukraine's defense forces, 29 cruise missiles launched by the enemy were destroyed during the attack on Ukraine last night
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny.
“A total of 30 cruise missiles were launched from sea, air, and land-based platforms. From strategic aviation aircraft, including two Tu-160 and eight Tu-95, 22 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were launched. From ships in the Black Sea, six Kalibr cruise missiles were launched. Additionally, two Iskander-K cruise missiles were launched from ground-based operational-tactical missile complexes”, the statement said.
Two Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs and two operational-tactical level reconnaissance UAVs were also shot down.
All Russian objects over Kyiv were shot down. As a result of the missile intercepts over Kyiv, debris fell in the Darnytskyi and Desnianskyi districts. The city authorities also reported no civilian casualties.
