On the night of January 18, Russians targeted Chuhuiv. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the attack was carried out with two guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 from the Belgorod region to the Kharkiv region.

Oleh Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, informed about the situation.

He mentioned that more than 15 settlements in the Kharkiv region, including Okip in Bohodukhiv district, Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv district, Hatysche, Pletenivka in Chuhuiv district, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in Kupyansk district, suffered artillery and mortar attacks from the enemy.

As a result of the hostilities in the Kharkiv region, 15,935 subscribers in 64 settlements of Izium, Kupyansk, Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts were left without electricity. Power restoration is ongoing.

Strike on Chuhuiv

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces struck Chuhuiv with two guided S-300 missiles from the Belgorod region. The strikes hit Chuhuiv around 22:30, targeting a building of an educational institution.

Oleh Synegubov noted that a 62-year-old woman, who worked as a boiler room operator, was killed as a result of the shelling. A 63-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were injured and hospitalized. Their injuries are reported to be of moderate severity. Another 82-year-old victim received assistance at the scene.

Strike on Kupyansk district

Around 15:00 on January 17, the enemy struck the village of Malyi Burluk in the Kupyansk district. According to Oleh Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, a 62-year-old woman was killed as a result of the shelling.

A 10-year-old boy suffered traumatic amputation of the lower limb, and he was taken to the hospital. The child is in critical condition. A 13-year-old girl sustained a shrapnel wound, and she was also taken to the hospital.

An administrative building, 6 residential buildings, and utility buildings were damaged. Today, on January 18, the enemy shelled Kupyansk. Occupiers hit a multi-storey residential building.

As a result of the shelling, a 57-year-old woman was killed. A 57-year-old man and a 61-year-old man were injured.
