Lithuanian journalist and TV presenter Andrius Tapinas noted that 1,095,000 euros were spent on the purchase.

Lithuanian journalist and TV presenter Andryus Tapinas announced this on his Twitter.

Lithuania has purchased more than 100 countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles and radars for them. Anti-drones will help the soldiers of the Armed Forces to shoot down Russian UAVs.

“We bought 110 anti-drones for Ukraine and called them Orcrist or Orc Killer,” the journalist noted.

Ukraine will also receive 80 NATO-approved Wingman radars, which allow detecting and shooting down drones at a distance up to 5 km. All this cost more than 1 million euros.

We will remind that, journalist Andryus Tapinas launched a fund-raising campaign for Bayraktar Ukraine on May 25, saying that he had received consent for such a potential purchase from the defense ministries of Lithuania and Turkey and the manufacturer. Many well-known Lithuanians participated in the charity event, in particular, ex-president Dalia Hrybauskaitė. The Turkish company was moved by the act of the Lithuanian people and decided to present “Bayraktar” along with ammunition.
