Green "living" walls will be planted next to the educational institutions and residential buildings of the district.
Pechersk district joined the city vertical gardening project. This was reported by the press service of Pechersk District State Administration.
“The first thing that comes to mind that the central district of the capital – it is administrative buildings and business centers only. But as of today, Pechersk district has joined the eco-project “City of Living Walls” and will inspire even more with its historical beauty,” the post says.
It is reported that as part of the vertical gardening and eco-initiative “City of Living Walls” Vichy grape sprouts were handed over to the Pechersk District in the presence of the head of the Pechersk District State Administration Natalia Kondrashova, the head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Vozniy, the head of the Department of Education and Innovative Development Tetyana Kopil-Filatova , director of the Utility Company for the maintenance of green spaces Igor Bily and director of the Management Company for the Maintenance of the Housing Fund of the Pechersk District Igor Pavlyk.
Green “living” walls will be planted near the educational institutions and residential buildings of the district. This will contribute not only to comfort, but also to better air quality, the District State Administration noted.
“Vichy grape is an ideal covering for large areas of fences and walls. It is important that this plant grows quickly, is easy to grow and does not require special care,” the release says.
