Kyivzelenbud and district landscapers continue to water green areas on hot days.
This morning, 18 special vehicles were at work on city streets. Highways and roads critical to districts will be watered first because they see the most freight transportation traffic.
Watering streets decreases the amount of dust in the air and cools the surfaces to reduce deformations due to heat.
Young trees, bushes, and colorful flower beds are the first to be watered. Watering is done both automatically and manually.
While parks and squares are being maintained or when new ones are built, the capital makes sure to install sprinkler systems that turn on automatically at scheduled times.
