During an air raid in Kyiv, explosions were heard, and there are reports of missile strikes.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA).

“Preliminary information. As a result of the air defense system engaging enemy targets, debris fell in the Podil district. Information about casualties and damages is being specified. Additionally, in the Obolon district, on the roadway. All emergency services are working on-site. Information regarding destruction and casualties is being clarified”, the statement said.

Furthermore, the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko, reported explosions in central districts. According to him, all emergency services have been dispatched to the scene.

Later, he reported about explosions in the Desniansky district of Kyiv as a result of the air defense system’s operation.

The KCMA also announced that a fire broke out on the roof of a two-story building in the Podil district of the capital due to debris falling. The fire is currently under control. Medics have hospitalized one injured person.

It was later revealed that missile debris also fell on the roadway in the Podil district of the capital.

The head of the Kyiv region Police reported that a commercial building was damaged in one of the districts of Kyiv region, where a fire broke out and has already been extinguished. No casualties were reported. Rescuers and police are working at the site.

The KCMA stated that as of 11:45, reports were received of the discovery of six missile fragments.

Later, the KCMA clarified that the strikes were likely carried out by ballistic missiles.
