Russia has completely destroyed 195 healthcare facilities in Ukraine and damaged another 1,497 buildings since the start of the full-scale invasion.

This information was provided by the Ministry of Health.

“Over nearly two years of full-scale war, many Ukrainian hospitals, maternity hospitals, polyclinics, clinics, and other medical facilities have suffered significant damage or have been completely destroyed by Russian missiles. In particular, Russia has completely destroyed 195 healthcare facilities, rendering them impossible to restore. Another 1,497 facilities have been damaged”, the statement reads.

The medical infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions has suffered the most significant losses.

In addition, Russian occupiers damaged 103 emergency medical vehicles. Another 253 ambulances were destroyed, and 125 were seized.

“The enemy continues to systematically shell Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities. Each shell and missile is evidence of Russian terror against the peaceful population and civilian objects”, emphasized the Ministry of Health.

The ministry added that the reconstruction of medical infrastructure is underway in Ukraine, focusing on restoring those facilities that have suffered minor damage, such as broken windows, doors, damaged facades, or roofs.
