Russia is accumulating missiles of various types for new attacks on Ukraine, and it also possesses a sufficient number of kamikaze drones.
This statement was made by the spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, during a telethon broadcast.
Responding to the question of whether there are signs that the Russian Federation, using various means of impact, is preparing for another massive strike on Ukraine, Ignat noted that deciphering the enemy’s intentions is not straightforward.
“We understand that the enemy is accumulating certain means. These include cruise missiles, in particular. Ballistic missiles, I mean ‘Iskander-M.’ Ultimately, things like what happened recently, we are experiencing not for the first time”, he said.
According to him, compared to the fall of this year, the situation was more “intense” in the summer regarding Russian attacks.
“We saw ‘Kinzhals,’ cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones in the summer. Now the enemy has started to use air-launched missiles closer to the cold season: Kh-101, Kh-555. Well, we have also seen ‘Iskanders’ and S-400 missiles used in attacks on Kyiv”, Ignat reminded.
The spokesperson also emphasized that the Russians currently have enough kamikaze drones to attack Ukraine from various directions daily.
“We have already seen their record application literally recently in our capital. Therefore, the enemy undoubtedly has missiles and will use them, but we need to enhance our capabilities in terms of intercepting attack UAVs”, summarized the military.
It’s worth noting that Russia may be accumulating missiles to carry out massive strikes on critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
