The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has obtained intelligence indicating the preparation by Russia of a large-scale "false flag" provocation at a strategic facility in Belarus - the Mozyr Oil Refinery.
This was revealedby the press-service of SSU.
According to available information, a sabotage and reconnaissance group consisting of Russian military personnel and employees of Russian special services, disguised as “Wagner PMC mercenaries”, has been sent to Belarus to carry out the attack.
The Russian sabotage group is planning to conduct a provocation at the refinery, pretending to be “Ukrainian saboteurs”. After the attack, Russia intends to accuse Ukraine, thus attempting to drag Minsk into a full-scale war.
The SSU received information about the planned attack in Belarus from several sources, including the testimony of a Russian serviceman who was captured by Ukrainian defense forces in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Additionally, cybersecurity experts have restored and analyzed information on the mobile phone of the captured Russian serviceman. It was discovered that he had previously participated in military actions against Ukrainian defense forces in southern Ukraine and recently received instructions to relocate to Belarus as part of the Wagner PMC.
During the transfer, the Russian military received information about the “special mission” at the Mozyr Oil Refinery. His phone contained deleted correspondence with other participants, as well as photographs and specific data related to the operation.
The Security Service of Ukraine warns Belarusian authorities against participating in a full-scale war against Ukraine. They emphasize that any invaders crossing the borders of Ukraine will be destroyed by Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces.
