On the morning of January 8, occupiers initiated a large-scale shelling of Ukraine. Explosions were audible in many areas. Buildings were damaged and destroyed. There are casualties and injuries.

Zaporizhzhia
The enemy targeted Zaporizhzhia with cruise and ballistic missiles. Hits in residential areas were reported – in open areas and near buildings. Two injured individuals are known: a man and a woman.
Kharkiv region
Occupiers launched at least 4 missile strikes on Kharkiv. As a result, a private house in the city of Zmiiv was destroyed, and a woman is reportedly injured. Medics are providing assistance to two injured individuals, and according to preliminary data, two more people are believed to be under the rubble.
Kryvyi Rih
15,000 subscribers in the city are left without electricity. Part of public transport is not operational. There are hits in a local shopping center or very close to it, causing a fire. Rescue workers are on-site. A 58-year-old man sustained shrapnel injuries. He is in satisfactory condition. The consequences of the attack are being eliminated in the Lozuvatska community of Kryvyi Rih district. There was also an “arrival” there. A 62-year-old woman died, and a private house was destroyed.
Odesa and Mykolaiv regions
The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 8 “Shahed” kamikaze drones.
