During the night of September 6th, Russians launched missiles from both air and ground bases into Ukrainian territory, as well as deploying attack drones. The air defense system successfully intercepted and destroyed 23 out of 33 enemy targets.
This information has been reported by the Air Force.
In total, 33 enemy airborne targets were identified:
7 air-launched missiles of the X-101/X-555/X-55 type, fired from 9 Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft from the Engels region.
1 ballistic missile “Iskander-M”.
25 attack UAVs of the “Shahed-136/131” type from the southeast and south directions (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Chauda).
It is noted that anti-aircraft defenses were operational along the flight paths of the missiles and drones. The defense involved anti-aircraft missile forces, fighter aviation, mobile fire groups, and other means of engagement.
Through the efforts of the Air Defense Forces, in coordination with the air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 23 airborne targets were eliminated:
7 cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55. 1 ballistic missile “Iskander-M”. 15 attack UAVs of the “Shahed-136/131” type.
During the night, Russian terrorists launched a drone attack on the Izmail district of Odessa. One person was killed.
Also, on this same night, Russians carried out a combined missile attack on Kyiv, and the air defense system successfully intercepted all enemy targets.
