On January 30, around 22:40, as a result of a Russian drone attack on residential neighborhoods in Kharkiv, several fires broke out in different areas of the city.

his was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

In the Slobidskyi district, three UAVs hit the residential sector, causing damage to:

  • Non-residential building,
  • Supermarket,
  • Cars,
  • Cafe,
  • Windows were shattered in multi-story buildings.

As a result of the attack, an 85-year-old man was injured, and a 46-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction. Medical assistance was provided to them on-site.

In the Saltivskyi district, a UAV hit a private house. The homeowners, a 58-year-old man and his 61-year-old wife, experienced an acute stress reaction but refused hospitalization.

The mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov, noted that in the Slobidskyi district, windows were shattered in two multi-story buildings. The affected individuals suffered minor injuries.

“This is another example of the fact that the Russian aggressor is targeting residential neighborhoods where there is no military infrastructure. Terrorism in its purest form”, he said.

It is worth mentioning that on the night of January 31, the enemy attacked the south and center of Ukraine with combat drones of the “Shahed” type. As a result of the attack, a man was injured and taken to the intensive care unit.

Due to hits in the Bashtansky district of the Mykolaiv region, the warehouses of an agricultural enterprise and the building of a store were damaged. The fire is being extinguished.

The Air Defense Forces of Ukraine managed to destroy 14 enemy drones out of 20, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
