Russian forces have launched a missile strike on Kharkiv, resulting in civilian casualties and people trapped under rubble

Mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov, reported that the impact of the cruise missile caused a massive fire at the site of the strike.

As a result of the latest Russian attack, five people were injured, two of whom have been hospitalized, while doctors are examining the rest.

Rescue workers are continuing search and rescue operations and firefighting efforts. Igor Terekhov did not specify the exact district of the city where the strike occurred.

Serhiy Bolvіnov, the head of the investigative department of the National Police of the Kharkiv region, clarified that there have been casualties — three people. An eight-story residential building and a production workshop in the Kholodnohirskyi district have been damaged. Later, the head of the Kharkiv military garrison, Serhiy Melnyk, informed that the occupiers had struck Kharkiv with a cruise missile. The fire has engulfed an area of over two thousand square meters.
