Russians launched an offensive in the direction of Vuhledar, but Ukrainian soldiers stopped them and inflicted heavy losses on the occupiers.
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced this.
“I received information about the situation on the front. There was an attempt by the enemy to advance on the Vuhledar direction, but our soldiers stopped it, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy, including dozens of pieces of equipment, many killed and wounded”, the statement reads.
Zelenskyy also mentioned that defensive actions continue in Avdiivka, and Ukrainian offensive operations are ongoing in the South.
During a sector meeting, reports from the Ministry of Defense regarding the receipt of ammunition, missiles, and equipment were presented, along with intelligence reports on the situation on the front, the international arena, and Russians.
“We also summarized the results of the ‘grain corridor’ work for October. The dynamics are positive. We are finalizing the insurance format for ships, which will provide confidence to us and carriers”, Zelenskyy added.
