The situation around Bakhmut remains extremely difficult, with ongoing fighting within the city.
This was reported on air by Mykola Volokhov, the commander of the Terra reconnaissance unit, to “KYIV24”.
“The situation around Bakhmut continues to be extremely difficult but controlled. Fighting continues within the city, and the Russians have not taken the city. However, they continue to actively destroy it. There is not a stone left standing, nor any positions that can be used as defensive points”, Volokhov reported.
Previously, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces held a portion of the city of Bakhmut.
As of May 22nd, the defense forces had advanced more than 2 km in certain directions.
