On Wednesday, April 26th, the occupiers shelled the Antonivskyi Bridge in the Kherson region. One man was killed on the spot. Italian reporter Corrado Zunino was also injured.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, was the first to report this.
He wrote that the Russians had launched an artillery strike on the village of Stanislav in the Kherson district, and as a result of the shelling, a 26-year-old man was injured.
Later, the Kherson Regional State Administration added information: “As a result of this attack, one man was killed on the spot, having received injuries incompatible with life.”
Italian journalist Corrado Zunino of La Repubblica was also injured. The reporter was wounded at the entrance to Kherson after the shelling of the car he was travelling in with his fixer. He suffered a shoulder injury and was hospitalized.
It is noted that it was the Italian newspaper that clarifiedthat the deceased was a Ukrainian journalist. The head of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, noted that the deceased Ukrainian reporter’s name was Bohdan Bytyk.
