As a result of the shelling of Kherson, the city was ablaze from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.
This information was reported by a serviceman of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine and deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, Serhiy Khlan.
The occupiers targeted residential neighborhoods of the city, with the Korabel microdistrict suffering the most, and the Zhyltloselyshche microdistrict being the hardest hit.
The Russians struck the building of the Kherson Agricultural University for the second time in recent days, as well as multi-story residential buildings.
September 21 marked an anti-record in Kherson for the number of shelling incidents.
“People in this microdistrict are in a terrible psychological state because it’s a constant barrage of shelling. Today, you could say there’s an anti-record for the city of Kherson and the right-bank part of the Kherson region in terms of the number of shelling incidents. If you look at the chronology, you can see that the number of shelling incidents has been increasing day by day over the past week”, he said.
Settlements along the coast were also affected. The Russians used incendiary shells to target the settlement of Kizomys, leading to numerous fires. Guided aerial bombs were used in the Berislavskyi district, affecting settlements directly along the Dnipro coast. At 7:30 in the morning, the occupiers launched another strike on a multi-story building. Rescue operations to clear the debris are currently underway.
