On the night of September 28th, Russian air defense systems shot down their own Su-35 fighter jet in the area near the temporarily occupied Tokmak in Zaporizhzhia region.
This information is reported by Russian media and confirmed by the monitoring channel “monitor”.
Furthermore, Russian Telegram channels report that the pilot of the downed Su-35 was killed.
It’s worth noting that the cost of such an aircraft ranges from 98 to 104 million dollars.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom has estimated that Russia has lost approximately one hundred aircraft since the beginning of the war.
