On the morning of April 17, air raid sirens sounded in several regions, followed by explosions in Chernihiv. The attack resulted in casualties and injuries.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv regional administration, Viacheslav Chaus.
“The enemy has struck Chernihiv with missiles. There are casualties and injuries”, he said.
According to the head of the administration, Russia launched three missile strikes almost in the center of the city. There are civilian fatalities and many injuries. Rescue workers and medical teams are currently on the scene providing all necessary assistance.
A headquarters has also been established to provide all necessary aid.
Additionally, as acting mayor of Chernihiv, Oleksandr Lomako noted, an impact on a social infrastructure facility has been recorded. As a result of the missile strikes on Chernihiv, four people are known to have died.
There are also reports of explosions in the Odessa region and in Kryvyi Rih. The information is being clarified.
