Russia launched missile strikes on the Lviv region during the night of May 8th. Energy facilities in two districts were targeted.
This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maxim Kozytskyi.
According to him, at around 5:00 a.m., the occupiers struck with cruise missiles at a power generation facility in the Chervonohrad district. A fire broke out, with two points of ignition. Firefighters are working at the site, and specialized equipment has been deployed.
As noted by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, there is no threat to people living nearby.
Additionally, critical energy infrastructure in the Stryi district was damaged as a result of the attack.
It is known that the occupiers also targeted Lviv region with aeroballistic missiles “Kinzhal.”
Kozytskyi added that there are no casualties or injuries in Lviv region due to the overnight attack. All life support systems are functioning normally.
The Russians launched strikes on energy infrastructure in six Ukrainian regions overnight.
In Poltava region, attackers targeted one facility. A fire broke out after a drone strike. Preliminarily, no casualties are reported. Another strike occurred in Vinnytsia region.
There is also destruction in Zaporizhzhia as a result of shelling. Additionally, Kirovohrad, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions came under fire. Experts are working to eliminate the consequences.
In Kyiv region, there are reports of two injured individuals who were transported to Brovary Hospital.
