Thirteen MiG-29 fighter jets that were promised by Slovakia have already been delivered to Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic.
“Slovakia has already delivered all 13 declared MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. After four units, which were piloted by Ukrainian pilots in March of this year, the remaining nine units were also successfully transferred to the Ukrainian forces”, the statement said.

The Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Jaroslav Nad, noted that “this transfer was carried out by land with the maximum possible safety taken into account.”
He also expressed his gratitude “to all involved components, because in such cases this is a really important and complex logistical operation”.
Nad emphasized that the MiG-29 fighter jets “represent significant support for Ukraine” against the Russian aggressor and for the protection of human lives.
