Fierce battles are being fought for Vovchansk. Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine control 60% of the territory.

This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Roman Semenukha, during a television marathon.

“We are under continuous shelling. The enemy continues assault actions, mainly focusing on the directions of the villages of Lyptsi, Vovchansk, and the left and right flanks of the city of Vovchansk.”

According to him, the occupiers are continuously shelling almost the entire border area, including the Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts, and continue their assault actions towards the village of Lyptsi and the city of Vovchansk.

“Just now, there have been several strikes with guided aerial bombs on the village of Lyptsi. The enemy does not abandon attempts, especially inside Vovchansk, to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the city. The city is approximately 60% controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so the assaults do not cease. Likewise, fighting took place this morning in the Kupiansk direction. Today, in certain areas, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting their own assault actions to improve their positions.”

It is worth noting that in the direction of Strilecha-Hlyboke in the Kharkiv region, the Defense Forces managed to stabilize the situation. The enemy is trying to entrench themselves in the residential areas of Vovchansk, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not allowing them to do so.
