Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Oleksiy Danilov, stated that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has multiple scenarios for how to act on the front line.

Danilov made this statement during an interview on the television marathon.

“We are aware of all the processes that are taking place on the front line. All assumptions regarding the plans of Ukrainian military, including the counteroffensive, have no basis. It will all be decided at the last moment when the final decision is made”, said Danilov.

According to him, the Ukrainian military has “not one, not two, not three, and not four options for developments on the front line” because it depends on many factors that are evaluated every day.

“And everyone should understand that we are not only talking about the counteroffensive. We understand that we need to liberate all our territories up to the borders of 1991. Until we do that, until our Armed Forces do that, we cannot talk about the end of the war”, emphasized the Secretary of the NSDC.

Recently, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that a large-scale counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces against Russian aggressors could begin as early as this summer. The Secretary of the NSDC reiterated that the decision about the counteroffensive would be made by the General Staff at the last moment.
