Russia provided HAMAS militants with firearms from American and European manufacturers that were seized in Ukraine.
This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, during a telethon broadcast.
According to him, the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence obtained information about the transfer of trophy weapons from Ukraine to HAMAS from several sources.
“When we talk about the type of weaponry, we are referring to firearms. It’s in limited quantities because it’s not genuine support with Ukrainian weaponry”, Yusov explained.
Through such supplies, the Russians aim to carry out their information-psychological operation against Ukraine on the international stage. The occupiers want to weaken support from partners.
The representative of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence noted that the operation was planned in advance, and Russia was aware of the plans of HAMAS militants to launch an attack on Israel. Russian private military companies may have been involved in the transfer of weapons, added the military intelligence representative.
