At the same time, the mobilization process within Russia has not ceased.
This was reported by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview with the “Crimea. Realities” project of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
“Everyone somehow thinks that they have already called everyone. No – conscription is ongoing every month. There’s a term for it. Between 20,000 and 22,000 are conscripted every month. Right now, they are considering the option – this question has not been fully resolved yet – of conscripting an additional 450,000”, the chief intelligence officer said.
According to the head of GUR, such intentions of Russia are evidence of significant losses among the Russian personnel in the war against Ukraine. It is known that the aggressor state is considering the option of additionally conscripting 450,000 people into its occupational army.
“In the fall of 2022, the Kremlin regime managed to mobilize about 350,000 people. This leads to the next question: why such a number if the losses, as they say, are negligible? Well, you will see that the truth will be somewhere in the middle”, Budanov noted.
Earlier, Ukrainian intelligence stated that Russia is mobilizing about 20,000 people every month.
