81% of Ukrainians believe that national elections should be held after the war is over, and currently, they are not timely.
These findings come from a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology from September 30 to October 13.
As of October 2023, 81% of respondents feel that elections should be postponed until after the war, while 16% believe that elections should proceed despite the ongoing conflict.
Sociologists have noted that in all regions of Ukraine, the majority of the population opposes holding elections during the war.
It’s worth noting that this fall marks the conclusion of the term of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, and in the spring, the presidential term will come to an end.
