The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to lower the discount rate to 16%.

This was announced by the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshnyi, during a briefing.

“The Board of the National Bank of Ukraine decided on October 27, 2023, to set the discount rate at 16%”, he reported.

In January 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine raised the discount rate to 10%. With the onset of military aggression, the discount rate remained unchanged.

However, on June 3, 2022, the discount rate was increased from 10% to 25%. It remained at this level for over a year, and on July 27, 2023, it was lowered to 22%, and on September 15, it was reduced to 20%.
