Rescuers have retrieved another body from the debris in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv.

On the morning of January 1, the KCMA released a report stating that rescuers had discovered four more bodies among the debris. As of 7:00 AM, 30 individuals have been affected by the Russian shelling. The search and rescue operation is ongoing, and information is being updated.

Recall that on the night of December 29, Russian forces carried out a massive rocket attack on Ukraine. In the capital of Ukraine, a building of one of the metro stations and a warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district were damaged. People were trapped under the debris of the warehouse. As of December 31, the number of casualties had risen to 23.

Due to the tragedy, January 1 has been declared a day of mourning in Kyiv.
