Yevgeny Prigozhin, also known as "Putin's Chef" and the owner of the PMC "Wagner", addressed the military leadership of Russia and announced that his mercenaries will withdraw from Bakhmut on May 10 if they do not receive ammunition.
Prigozhin’s press service reported this.
Prigozhin claimed that the “Wagnerites” were supposed to take Bakhmut by May 9, but the Russian military command cut off the mercenaries from artillery ammunition. He stated that the offensive resources of “Wagner” had run out in early April and losses were increasing exponentially every day. Meanwhile, the mercenaries will continue to advance on Bakhmut until May 10, 2023, to avoid disrupting the “sacred” Russian holiday of May 9.
However, as Prigozhin stated, “Wagner” will hand over the occupied positions to the Russian military on May 10.
