The Verkhovna Rada calls on the international community to ensure the exchange and repatriation of defenders of Mariupol, who are currently in Russian captivity, back to Ukraine.

This was reported by the People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

The Rada appealed to the United Nations, parliaments, and governments of countries, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the independent international medical humanitarian organization “Doctors Without Borders” regarding the exchange and repatriation of the military personnel captured in captivity in Mariupol.

It is known that 293 members of parliament voted “for” the resolution.

As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion of the former head of the Olenivska colony, who was involved in the torture of more than 100 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers.
